Armed with the skills she learned in the Welsh farmlands and a degree from the University of Wales, Jan moved to the United States at 23. She quickly made her mark and rose through the corporate ranks, ultimately serving as Chief Procurement Officer for a $3 billion, Tier-1 global automotive supplier. Her success in the position helped her earn a spot on Automotive News’ list of the 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry.

Beyond the corporate achievements, Jan’s fervor for culture change shines brightest. Her brainchild, Gravitas Detroit, is a testament to her commitment to transform the culture in the auto industry. The Automotive Leaders Podcast, launched in January 2020, is another platform where Jan’s voice resonates, drawing insights from luminaries like Stephen M.R. Covey and Dr. Andy Palmer, the Godfather of the EV and former CEO of Aston Martin, and Mark Stewart, the CEO of Goodyear to fuel the quest for authentic leadership.

Jan’s influence extends into academia and professional communities, with her active participation on Wayne State University's Global Supply Chain Management Advisory Board and the Automotive Women’s Association Foundation.

On a personal note, Jan is a devoted mother to a creative daughter, a connoisseur of oat milk lattes, and an avid walker. She finds solace and inspiration walking the coastal paths of her beloved Wales, reflecting on the interconnected paths of her personal and professional life.
