Jason Barger is a 22-year veteran of the automotive industry who has spent his career at the intersection of physical manufacturing and digital innovation. With a professional journey split between Troy Design & Manufacturing and Ford Motor Company, Jason offers a unique perspective on how traditional shop-floor
excellence evolves into the digital age. Jason spent his first 12 years in the manufacturing space, where he became a subject matter expert in process capability and Statistical Process Control (SPC). During this time, he managed enterprise-level SPC systems, developed critical gauging solutions, and provided launch support for 10 new vehicle models. His expertise was recognized globally as he led training programs on manufacturing capability and gauging across the Ford enterprise. For the past decade, Jason has pivoted into Manufacturing IT, leading the charge in modernizing Ford’s production landscape. His leadership has spanned the development of Digital Twin applications, the management of the Ford Production System’s in-house solutions, and the oversight of gauging applications for both Vehicle and Powertrain operations. Currently, Jason manages high-stakes teams focused on deploying AI Vision for manufacturing quality and architecting cyber security protocols to protect Operational Technology (OT) assets across Ford’s global manufacturing plants. Jason holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Northwood University.
