Dr. Shafiq directs the development of all artificial intelligence and machine learning-based products at ZEEKR TECH EU, Sweden. He also manages academic research initiatives in critical strategic technology sectors. With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Shafiq has led diverse projects across multiple industries including automotive, mining, forestry, communications, and medical and neuroscience fields. He has initiated and guided several advanced technology projects, leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence in areas such as computer vision, natural language understanding, multimodal signal processing, robotics, and computational neuroscience. Before joining ZEEKR TECH EU, Dr. Shafiq held faculty positions at multiple universities and was the CTO and founder of various startups.
